Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Define and evolve the long-term marketing vision, strategic pillars, and creative frameworks for World of Warcraft, driving player engagement, audience growth, and franchise business objectives across global markets.
  • Craft differentiated brand positioning, creative platforms, and messaging strategies informed by player insights, market intelligence, and product priorities to strengthen franchise relevance and brand affinity.
  • Lead major content launches, seasonal campaigns, and franchise tentpole activations from strategic planning through execution, measurement, and post-campaign optimization.
  • Align Development, Creative, Community, Communications, Regional Marketing, and external partners around a unified marketing vision and integrated player experience across all channels and touchpoints.
  • Direct internal teams, agencies, and creative partners through clear strategic briefs, feedback, and decision-making frameworks that ensure high-quality execution against franchise objectives.
  • Influence senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders through compelling campaign recommendations, strategic plans, and performance insights that inform franchise priorities and investment decisions.
  • Leverage audience analytics, market intelligence, consumer research, and performance data to identify growth opportunities, optimize marketing effectiveness, and shape long-term franchise strategy.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in brand marketing, preferably in the video game industry or a related entertainment field.
  • Proven track record of launching successful marketing campaigns for AAA brands across multiple channels and platforms.
  • Deep experience with executions requiring A/V production, physical production, paid media creative, out of home, and the other core pieces of a robust 360 campaign
  • Demonstrated experience in ideating, briefing, feedbacking , and quality-managing high-scope creative work.
  • Demonstrated experience in project management, analysis and the ability to work across multiple teams.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and inspire others.

Preferred

  • A passion for gaming, gaming culture, and strong understanding of current industry trends, player behavior, and product life cycles.
  • In-depth knowledge of Blizzard games, particularly World of Warcraft.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing , Communications, Business, or a related field.
