Job Summary

As Senior Internal Communications Manager for Enterprise Employee Communications, you will play a key role in fostering a high-achievement culture through strategic communications that enhance employee engagement, drive effectiveness, and support business outcomes during our company's transformation. You will develop and execute strategic campaigns, create compelling content across various channels, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to boost NetApp's employee visibility and engagement.

We seek an experienced communications strategist with a background in developing People and Culture-focused employee campaigns, particularly in CAO, IT, Security, Legal (Ethics and Compliance), Sustainability, and AI. Additional key focus areas include product launch storytelling management and crisis communications readiness.

Candidates must excel in creating and executing multi-channel communications strategies for internal audiences and possess exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Experience in internal, crisis, and executive communications, along with a high degree of creativity and technology domain knowledge, is highly desirable.

In this individual contributor role, you will strengthen NetApp's enterprise employee communications, foster employee engagement, and amplify the NetApp story.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and execution of comprehensive corporate campaigns aligned with enterprise-level brand objectives and messaging, leveraging insights from market research, industry trends, and competitive analysis.
  • Serve as a communications strategist to business and functional stakeholders and fellow team members.
  • Develop communications strategies and tactics for the Legal organization, partnering with Communications team members and senior executives to execute strategies and lead consensus processes across business units.
  • Draft communications materials such as talking points and PowerPoint slides for the CFO organization, key areas of the Legal team, including compliance, and the AI@Work, IT and Security teams.
  • Draft organizational announcements for the office of the CAO, including CAO All Hands.
  • Support the Sustainability team in promoting initiatives and the annual ESG report.
  • Plan and coordinate campaign timelines, resources, and deliverables to ensure successful implementation.
  • Develop and execute crisis communications strategies to ensure timely and effective responses to enterprise challenges.
  • Lead storytelling and campaign management for product launches, connecting strategic initiatives to NetApp?s broader corporate narrative.
  • Use employee feedback and data on communication effectiveness to inform message development and execution.
  • Monitor campaign performance metrics and adjust strategies as needed to optimize results.
  • Partner closely with integrated communications team members, Corporate Communications, and other key partners to develop internal and external communications materials and ensure alignment.

Education and Experience:

  • 12+ years of experience in employee or internal communications, public relations, corporate communications, or related field.
  • Previous consultant experience with employer brand content strategy and employee value proposition articulation.
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally, build relationships within the organization, and interface with key individuals and all levels of staff, including executive management.
  • Strategic thinking, analytical, and data-driven, proactive execution.
  • Strong organization, program, and project management, as well as content development skills.
  • Excellent written, editing, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to turn complex ideas into stories and visual concepts.
  • Adaptability and the ability to make an impact in a highly matrixed organization.
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, or related field required.
  • Deep understanding of modern communications tools, including videos, podcasts, etc.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive).

This is the pay range that Magnit reasonably expects to pay someone for this position: Min: $82 Mid: $111 & Max: $122
