Responsibilities

  • Lead the Content organization with the mindset of a Media Company GM – seeking to produce world-class content across platforms at a prolific and expanding rate with the aim to fuel a highly-engaged and consistently growing fanbase, while driving top-line revenue through smart and aligned corporate partnerships and media rights deals.
  • Set strategy and establish channel-right KPIs and benchmarks for all departments relating to content engagement, channel growth, brand goals, and revenue generation that streamline and align with department and individual goal setting.
  • Oversee all aspects of social media execution, web editorial direction, live streaming events, and content planning across O&O (web and app) platforms and emerging content distribution platforms.
  • Set yearly budgeting and spending for all teams and lead the development of strategic outside partnerships to help the team increase production capacities, capabilities, efficiencies, and alignment.
  • Work alongside Head of Creative to establish unified look, feel, and voice across properties that makes it clear and obvious when content is made by the Panthers, rather than about the Panthers. Establish the culture of a unified team across Content and Creative, with the Creative team providing graphic design, photography, special video projects, and motion graphics resources to fuel a prolific and unified Content output.
  • Work alongside Head of Creative with the relationship of an internal Creative Agency – drawing on the shared resource to support special event coverage, sponsorable content ideation and production, special project production, and other creative services.
  • Lead processes for effectively and efficiently staffing Content production roles across all team major events, especially games. Create systems to ensure our team can execute game coverage at a world-class level, while building efficiencies that streamline costs and a staffing rotation to create business continuity while providing the staff with work-life harmony.
  • Act as organizational contact for outside partners, including the NFL, product vendors, media companies, and others; be proactive in promoting the team’s brand and creative outputs wherever possible in the appropriate digital landscapes
  • Act as the Department’s lead contact with Football for day-to-day communications, approvals, and alignment. Maintain and further develop a culture of trust, aligned goals, and respect in order to maintain and advance access to protected football spaces for the benefit of our fans and the organization.
  • Work alongside Marketing department, Creative department, and others to drive a unified Integrated output around key NFL and Club tentpole moments. Align dedicated content verticals to support robust Content plans to support each key campaign, and align with Creative department to produce Special Projects to support overall campaign output while maintaining the day-to-day focus of the Content team.
