Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead Peregrine Hospitality’s corporate communications strategy, strengthening the company’s presence in hospitality, travel, lifestyle, and business media.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with industry journalists, editors, and media outlets.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities for press coverage, interviews, speaking engagements, and thought leadership placements.
  • Manage the development of press releases, media pitches, executive messaging, and company announcements.
  • Lead the marketing and brand positioning of Peregrine Hospitality at the corporate level, ensuring a clear and differentiated presence within the industry.
  • Oversee the development of corporate marketing materials, website content, social media storytelling, and brand narratives.
  • Strengthen Peregrine’s visibility with owners, developers, investors, and industry partners.
  • Work closely with property teams to identify and elevate compelling stories, openings, renovations, experiences, and leadership moments across the portfolio.
  • Promote Peregrine properties through earned media placements, editorial coverage, awards submissions, and industry recognition opportunities.
  • Develop portfolio-level storytelling strategies that highlight the unique character and success of individual hotels while reinforcing the Peregrine brand.
  • Provide strategic direction and indirect leadership to on-property marketing and communications teams.
  • Ensure alignment between corporate messaging and property-level communications efforts.
  • Develop guidelines, playbooks, and best practices for public relations, storytelling, and media engagement across the portfolio.
  • Support key property milestones including openings, repositionings, and major announcements.
  • Identify and secure opportunities for Peregrine participation in industry conferences, panels, awards programs, and hospitality forums.
  • Oversee submissions and strategy for industry awards, rankings, and recognition programs.
  • Build relationships with industry associations, hospitality publications, and strategic partners.
  • Collaborate closely with Commercial, Operations, Development, and Property leadership to ensure consistent messaging and storytelling across the organization.
  • Manage agency partners and communications vendors where appropriate.
  • Foster a culture of proactive storytelling, collaboration, and brand stewardship across the portfolio.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in communications, public relations, or corporate marketing — ideally in hospitality or travel.
  • Demonstrated success developing and executing corporate communications and brand visibility strategies.
  • Demonstrated success developing and executing property specific and/or F&B outlet specific communications and visibility strategies.
  • Strong experience with media relations, press engagement, and industry storytelling.
  • Experience securing earned media coverage, speaking opportunities, and awards recognition.
  • Ability to translate company strategy into compelling narratives that resonate with media, partners, investors, and industry audiences.
  • Successful experience collaborating with and indirectly leading property-level marketing and communications teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong editorial sensibility.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with senior leadership and represent the company externally.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple initiatives across a portfolio of properties.
