Job Summary

Own and lead Verizon's ad products strategy end-to-end, directing a 9-person team across product, operations, and partnerships; drive GTM, alpha/beta advertiser growth, and premium inventory monetization; align with Data Strategy, Legal/Privacy, and telecom units to scale revenue and privacy-first solutions.

  • Oversee cross‑functional leadership and team development.
  • Drive multi‑million dollar revenue growth through strategic GTM and premium inventory management.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Direct and mentor a team of 9 FTEs, including the Head of Ad Product & Partnerships, Head of Media Sales, Director of Ad Operations & Yield, and their respective teams (Integration Engineers, Client Partners, and Campaign Managers).
  • Strategic Vision: Own the overarching business strategy for Verizon’s ad products, including premium lock-screen inventory, digital OOH, and owned properties.
  • Go-To-Market & Revenue Growth: Oversee the development of the GTM strategy and support the Head of Media Sales in securing foundational alpha/beta advertisers with major advertising holding companies and tier-1 brands.
  • Product & Technical Oversight: Guide the Product and Engineering teams in managing critical third-party vendor relationships (e.g., Glance) and building privacy-first ad solutions like clean room integrations.
  • Commercial Performance: Ensure the team effectively manages yield, pricing strategies, and inventory flow to maximize revenue without cannibalizing premium core placements.
  • Executive Alignment: Act as the primary liaison between the advertising division and broader Verizon leadership, collaborating heavily with Data Strategy, Legal/Privacy (CPNI), and core telecommunications business units.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of experience, Master's Degree highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 10-12+ years of progressive leadership experience in ad-tech, media sales, digital advertising, or retail media networks.
  • Proven experience managing cross-functional leaders and building high-performing teams from the ground up (zero-to-one experience).
  • Deep understanding of the mobile advertising ecosystem, programmatic architecture, data clean rooms, and digital yield management.
  • Strong executive presence with a track record of driving multi-million dollar revenue growth and managing enterprise-level vendor relationships.
  • Ability to navigate and lead within a complex, highly matrixed corporate environment.
