Job Description

Overview

The Content Development Manager contributes to the creation and evolution of HardScope's content slate, working with creators and internal teams to originate and develop culturally relevant ideas into structured concepts that can be produced, distributed, and monetized. This role operates within HardScope's development system, collaborating across Strategy, Studio, Partnerships, Distribution, Partner Management, and Operations to shape concepts using audience insight, platform dynamics, and commercial considerations. The focus is creative ideation and hands-on development, building concepts into clearly defined formats, franchises, and programming that can move through evaluation, production planning, and greenlight. Working across a range of cultural categories such as Sports, Gaming, Lifestyle, Gambling, Fashion, and Food, this role helps ensure HardScope's slate reflects both audience demand and cultural momentum. Success in this role is defined by the consistent development of culturally relevant concepts that progress into production and perform across platforms.

  • Partner with Strategy to incorporate audience insights, platform signals, and cultural trends into concept development and iteration.
  • Collaborate with Studio and production leadership to ensure concepts are grounded in executional feasibility, timelines, and resource considerations.
  • Engage with Distribution to ensure early thinking considers platform fit, format, and multi-platform potential across YouTube, social, podcast, live, events, commerce, and branded environments.
  • Support the evolution of ideas through feedback loops, creative iteration, and cross-functional input, adapting concepts as they move toward greenlight.
  • Contribute to the development of a consistent pipeline of ideas across verticals including Sports, Gaming, Lifestyle, Gambling, Fashion, and Food.
  • Maintain awareness of emerging creators, trends, and formats, bringing forward new ideas and opportunities that reflect cultural momentum and audience demand.

  • Speed and quality of concept iteration through development cycles
  • Alignment of developed concepts with platform, audience, and commercial objectives
  • Volume of pitch decks produced and presented to internal and external stakeholders per quarter

Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience in content development, creative roles, or creator-led media environments
  • Strong instincts for cultural trends, audience behavior, and emerging content formats
  • Experience working with creators or talent in collaborative creative environments
  • Ability to contribute to concept development and creative materials in a structured environment
  • Comfort working cross-functionally with strategy, production, and distribution teams
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills across creative and operational stakeholders
