Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Write, edit, and proofread highquality content for newsletters, email campaigns, scripts, speeches, web copy, website, social media, Power Point presentations, collateral materials and more.
  • Partner with Programs, Career Services, and Development to translate initiatives into clear, engaging communications.
  • Support leadership with executive communications, talking points, and thought leadership pieces.
  • Develop email strategy and execution: segmentation, copywriting, visuals, automation, and performance tracking
  • Develop email campaigns to drive engagement, program participation, donor relations, and recruitment
  • Optimize campaigns through A/B testing, list management, and datadriven adjustments
  • Assist Communications Specialist with social media content, copy and campaigns across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube
  • Support event communications, graduation programs, and other organizational initiatives
  • Track engagement metrics and report on email performance
  • Provide recommendations to improve communication effectiveness

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations, or related field
  • 35 years of professional communications experience
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills
  • Experience designing, executing, and optimizing email campaigns
  • Familiarity with email and social media marketing and best practices
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Ability to collaborate across departments and manage multiple priorities

Preferred

  • Nonprofit communications experience
  • Salesforce experience
  • Basic graphic skills (Canva, Adobe, etc.)
