Senior Account Executive, Public Relations

Responsibilities

• Core media relations on the account: drafts weekly pitches and assigns targets
• Act as backup client contact on all communications
• Participate actively on client calls, contributing to brainstorming and problem-solving with executives
• Write top-tier press releases, bylines, blog posts
• Write pitches for campaigns and launches to serve as templates for the team
• Draft amplification memos for each media hit
• Stay on top of news for proactive outreach
• Generate creative ideas for clients weekly
• Stay up-to-date on PR and client trends; suggest social media ideas
• Mentor junior staff and model Inkhouse values

Requirements

• 4–6 years of progressive experience in public relations
• Passion/interest in working on tech accounts
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for crafting stories and client correspondence
• Savviness and creativity in media relations, pitching, and identifying targets and angles
• Ability to communicate clearly with staff, clients, and media; comfort with quick thinking
• Proven track record of handling multiple client accounts simultaneously under deadlines
• In-office presence required 3 days a week (based in NY, NY or CA options listed)

• Experience with awards programs and speaking opportunities
• Experience mentoring junior staff or leading teams on projects
