Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Lead modern SEO strategy that connects search visibility to real business outcomes.
  • Identify search opportunities that drive qualified leads, engagement, and conversions, prioritizing lower-funnel intent.
  • Partner closely with the web development team to ensure SEO is integrated into site architecture from the very beginning.
  • Help define structured data, semantic relationships, and technical frameworks for clear understanding by search engines and AI systems.
  • Guide content strategy by identifying keyword clusters, entities, and topical authority opportunities; collaborate with copywriters to develop content plans and category hubs.
  • Build authority signals by structuring author pages, supporting expertise signals, and identifying opportunities for earned media and PR.
  • Adapt strategies to align with AI-powered search experiences using modern tools and data sources to analyze competitive landscapes.
  • Collaborate with strategy and creative teams; participate in StoryBrand strategy sessions and translate insights into search strategies that shape site architecture, content planning, and long-term authority building.

Requirements

  • 10+ years developing and executing SEO strategies.
  • Strong technical SEO experience, including site architecture, structured data, and indexation.
  • Experience with modern SEO tools such as SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, or similar platforms.
  • Ability to analyze search data and translate insights into strategic recommendations.
  • Familiarity with website technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Experience working with CMS platforms, particularly WordPress.
  • Understanding of structured data, schema markup, and semantic search concepts.
  • Ability to connect SEO strategy to real business outcomes.
  • Experience building topical authority through content clusters and category structures.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain search strategy to clients and team members.

Preferred

  • Experience with structured data frameworks and knowledge graph development.
  • Familiarity with LLM-driven search and AI search experiences.
  • Technical development background or experience collaborating closely with developers.
