Responsibilities

• Create engaging Instagram, TikTok, Reels, Stories, and other social media content featuring hair transformations, salon services, trends, educational content, and behind-the-scenes moments
• Film, photograph, and edit high-quality salon content, including before-and-after transformations
• Develop creative content ideas designed specifically for the beauty and hair industry
• Manage and help grow the salon’s social media presence
• Increase local brand awareness and engagement
• Promote salon services, specials, referral programs, and seasonal campaigns
• Help attract new potential clients through social media, community outreach, networking, partnerships, and creative marketing
• Generate qualified leads and help convert those leads into new client bookings
• Engage with potential clients through social media comments, messages, and inquiries when appropriate
• Identify local marketing and partnership opportunities with businesses, influencers, organizations, and community groups

Requirements

• Has previous experience working with or marketing for a hair salon, hairstylist, beauty professional, med spa, cosmetology business, or similar beauty brand
• Understands salon services, beauty trends, and the type of content that attracts potential clients
• Has experience creating Instagram Reels, TikToks, short-form videos, photos, and promotional content
• Understands how to use social media for more than gaining followers — you should know how to turn attention into inquiries, leads, and booked appointments
• Is comfortable filming and creating content in a salon environment
• Has strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Is outgoing and comfortable representing a local beauty brand
• Understands basic social media strategy, branding, engagement, and audience growth
• Is creative, proactive, organized, and able to work independently
• Is motivated by performance-based compensation and growth opportunities

Preferred

• Previous hair salon or beauty-industry marketing experience is strongly preferred.
