Job Summary

Own and drive clinical performance improvement, lead education programs, and coordinate patient education to boost outcomes and satisfaction.

  • Performance Improvement: oversee initiatives and annual program reviews to raise clinical outcomes.
  • Education and Accreditation: coordinate education programs and ensure compliance with national accreditation standards.
  • Staff Development and Collaboration: supervise staff, oversee rounds, and partner with physicians and nursing to align care delivery.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Directs and oversees Performance Improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborates with physicians, nursing staff, and other health care providers to ensure comprehensive, coordinated patient and family education.
  • Identifies opportunities for improvement in patient outcomes and participates in plans to enhance clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction.
  • Coordinates and oversees preparation and submission of education programs to meet national standards of accreditation for patients, nurses, exercise physiologists and exercise specialists, as applicable.
  • Prepares and performs annual review of the program.
  • Assists in the revision and review of policies and protocols.
  • Assists with marketing and program preparation.
  • Conducts daily rounds and/or audits on applicable patient population, as needed.
  • Supervises, trains, and promotes the development of staff and provides direction as needed.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in Nursing.
  • Current Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which services will be provided or current multi-state Registered Nurse license through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact ( eNLC ).
  • Obtain certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire.
  • Three (3) years of clinical experience in nursing.
  • Knowledge of and appropriate application of the nursing process.
  • Knowledge of professional theory, practice and procedure.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with patients, families, physicians, and other employees.

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN).
  • Certification in area of specialty.
  • Five (5) years of clinical experience in Nursing.
