Job Summary

Own the student staff and residence life operations spine, pairing leadership development with the Redhawk Residential Experience and campus partnerships to drive safe, inclusive living at scale.

  • Growth Infrastructure: Build staff development, training, and assessment workflows for RAs, DAs, DCs, and ARCCs.
  • Operations & Compliance: Manage front desk coordination, safety education, conduct processes, and facility issue tracking.
  • Community & Care: Align outreach, campus ministry partnerships, and care case management to support resident well-being and belonging.

Job Description

Responsibilities
  • Supervise 4- 21 Resident Assistants (RAs), 7-14 Desk Assistants (DAs), 1-2 Desk Coordinators (DCs), and 1-2 graduate-level Assistant Residential Community Coordinators (ARCC).
  • Assist in the recruitment, selection, formation, and development of student leader staff.
  • In collaboration with other Housing and Residence Life staff, develop, facilitate, and lead student staff training sessions and other departmental sessions. (i.e.., in-services and formation nights)
  • Maintain knowledge of campus academic resources and provide appropriate referrals.
  • Implement the Redhawk Residential Experience (RRE).
  • Advise and support RAs through the community outreach planning process, including tracking and assessment of area initiatives.
  • Create RRE facilitation guides and tools.
  • Track Hawk Talks (Intentional Interactions) between RAs and residential students and engage in data review and action planning.
  • Provide support and presence to HRL's Residence Hall Association through Area Council advising.
  • Partner with Campus Ministry (Resident Ministers and Jesuits in Residence) to provide additional support in the residential communities. Serve on or chair departmental collaterals and committees related to Student Staff Recruitment and Formation, Graduate Formation and Selection, and the Redhawk Residential Experience.
