Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Build the network. Attend BNI, chamber of commerce, and professional association events on behalf of Modern Law. Consistently, not occasionally.
  • Develop referral partnerships with various types of professionals who may work with family law and estate planning clients, including but not limited to financial planners, therapists, wealth managers, CPAs, realtors, mortgage brokers, insurance agents, and allied attorneys.
  • Own the follow-up. Every card collected, every introduction made, every "let's grab coffee" gets a next step.
  • Nurture existing referral sources through regular check-ins, coffees, lunches, and thank yous so relationships stay warm between referrals.
  • Represent Modern Law at community events, sponsorships, and speaking opportunities. Identify new events and organizations worth our time.
  • Track everything in our CRM, including contacts, touchpoints, referral sources, and conversions, and report on what's working to the Director of Marketing.
  • Support joint marketing efforts such as co-hosted workshops, lunch and learns, and educational seminars with referral partners.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated success building professional relationships that produced measurable results
  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills, and genuine comfort initiating conversations with strangers
  • Highly organized with disciplined follow-up habits. CRM experience preferred
  • Reliable transportation and valid Arizona driver's license. This role is out in the community, not behind a desk
  • Availability for morning, evening, and occasional weekend events
  • Professional presentation and sound judgment representing the firm publicly
  • Prior exposure to legal, financial services, real estate, or healthcare industries preferred

  • Licensed real estate agents looking for meaningful supplemental income. You already attend the events, you already know the financial planners and lenders, and you already understand that this business runs on relationships.
  • Legal or medical referral coordinators who have built and managed provider or attorney referral networks.
  • Business development, outside sales, or community relations professionals with a track record of relationship-driven growth.
  • Active BNI, chamber, or professional association members with an established Arizona network.
