Public Relations Specialist, Senior

Responsibilities

• Engage in promoting and creating an intended public image for individuals, groups, or organizations.
• May write or select material for release to various communications media.
• Serves as a liaison between the organization and the public.
• Establishes and maintains positive relationships with media outlets, consumers, government employees, and public interest groups.
• Developing communications plans for major milestone events
• Evaluates advertising campaigns to ensure consistency with the organization's public relations strategy.
• Create written content for various media channels, including but not limited to press releases, articles, presentations, and digital/social media content.
• Manage communications projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery of products.
• Track and analyze communication metrics to measure the effectiveness of campaigns and identify areas for improvement.
• Oversee Public Relations efforts

Requirements

• Master's degree in business administration, business management, finance, accounting or other technical-related disciplines
• In lieu of a Master's degree, a Bachelor’s degree plus two (2) years of additional work experience may be substituted.
• In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree, an Associate’s degree plus four (4) additional years of work experience may be substituted.
• In lieu of a degree, an additional six (6) years of experience may be substituted.
• Ten (10) years of experience monitoring communications plans for major milestone events, producing photographs on and off military installations.
• Experience coordinating communications between agencies and major media outlets.
• Experience providing media materials and information pamphlets.
• Graphics Design skills, preferred
• Active Secret Security Clearance
• U.S. Citizen and able to complete the full background investigation

Preferred

• Navy/NAVAIR experience, preferred
• Graphics Design skills, preferred
