Job Summary

Own media relations and community outreach with cross department collaboration, shaping communications to public audiences and managing events and materials that publicize services.

  • Liaison and Outreach: Handle media requests, press releases, talking points and press conferences to drive visibility.
  • Public Materials: Develop and disseminate educational content, newsletters, and promotional media for public information programs.
  • Presentations and Events: Plan and deliver talks to schools, agencies, and groups, and coordinate cross department events.

Job Description

  • Responsibilities: Prepare educational and promotional materials, videos, trainings, and distribute them to publicize services and events; coordinate dissemination.
  • Responsibilities: Design and disseminate reports, manuals, lists, and other applicable items; coordinate printing and website updates.
  • Responsibilities: Coordinate special events and programs with other departments, outside agencies, and applicable groups.
  • Responsibilities: May be required to use a cell phone for job duties; maintain regular attendance; uphold good relationships with staff and citizens.
