Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy to secure earned media coverage in international, national, and regional outlets including science, environmental, youth, and positive news
• Draft a master press release and approximately 15 individual releases tailored to the specific achievements and geographic regions of our global winners
• Conduct aggressive pitching for exclusive stories and interview opportunities for award winners
• Build and maintain targeted media lists of journalists and influencers globally
• Promote our Virtual Eco-Hero Conference scheduled for September 2026 to relevant media
• Track all media coverage and provide a final impact report with reach and sentiment analysis

Requirements

• Proven track record in international PR with demonstrated success in securing media coverage across multiple countries and global regions
• Expertise in earned media, specifically in strategic pitching and building relationships with international journalists and editors
• Superior writing skills, particularly in drafting compelling press releases for a global audience
• Familiarity with environmental issues, youth activism, or the non-profit sector
• Ability to meet strict deadlines and manage multiple moving parts in a remote, independent environment

Preferred

• Experience with PR tools such as Cision or Muck Rack
• Background in Communications, Journalism, or International Relations
