Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Support client teams with research, monitoring, and content creation (press releases, policy briefs, social media content)
  • Craft compelling narratives by translating complex policy issues into clear, targeted messaging
  • Track federal policy developments, regulatory changes, and media coverage for client interests
  • Assist in planning and executing integrated advocacy and communications campaigns
  • Coordinate logistics for client meetings, events, and coalition activities
  • Contribute to digital and traditional media strategies, including content creation and media outreach
  • Provide project management support to ensure timely, accurate deliverables
  • Help cultivate relationships with reporters, stakeholders, and key influencers

Requirements

  • One to three years of experience at a communications agency, Capitol Hill or Administration
  • Excellent writing, editing, and research skills with strong AP Style knowledge
  • Understanding of communications channels (digital, print, social, broadcast)
  • Strong organizational abilities and project management skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with executives, clients, and colleagues
  • Self-motivated team player who thrives in fast-paced environments
  • Interest in public affairs and policy issues
