Public Relation Communication Admin

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule plant tours to include non-peak times to minimize impact to operations
• Acting as a liaison between mill leadership and groups requesting visits; ensure proper personnel are invited to and involved in meetings
• Acting as a tour guide through production areas; accompany tour group, present department specific information and ensure visitor safety
• Create and conduct professional presentations specific to the visitor group and in line with Gerdau’s branding standards
• Greet and direct visitors
• Coordinate all necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
• Entering the room reservation in Outlook, as well as setup and tear-down of the meeting room(s)
• Organize appropriate methods of transportation, including driving plant vehicles and ensuring the “visitor” vehicles are in good working order
• Order and maintain swag or give-away items specifically for visitors
• Responsibility for food and meal orders including placement of orders and necessary clean up

• Excellent customer service skills, professionalism and patience in person and on the phone
• Must be adaptable and have the ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment
• Good administrative and organizational skills with excellent attention to detail
• Good attendance and dependability
• Ability to work on multiple tasks amid shifting priorities, while maintaining quality
• Ability to learn new technology quickly and apply them to daily work
• Good communication skills (written and verbal) and the ability to deal effectively with a wide variety of company personnel and visitors
• Experienced in coordinating programs and providing quality, well thought out deliverables
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook), Teams and Sharepoint sites
