Public Affairs/Public Relations, VP - Corporate Affairs

Responsibilities

• Working closely with the firm’s Private Equity business units on media strategy and specific transaction communications
• Multi-faceted project management with a lean team
• Acting as firm spokesperson with the press, including proactive media outreach and reactive story management
• Managing press events, including interviews
• Drafting and coordinating press releases, media campaigns, talking points, thought leadership initiatives, and internal communications
• Helping manage communications relationships with portfolio companies

Requirements

• 7+ years of relevant experience, some in the financial industry preferred; private equity and/or deal experience a plus
• A track record at developing and managing media relations either from PR agency, corporate or government roles
• Strong oral and written communications skills
• Highly organized self-starter with the ability to work independently
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to efficiently work within tight deadlines
• Proactive and hands-on; thrives in a dynamic environment
• Experience managing reputational risk and advising on strategy
• Must possess strong interpersonal skills and can interact effectively with other senior level employees and outside contacts
