Job Summary

Own the end-to-end proposal lifecycle for complex RFPs, coordinating cross-functional inputs, tailoring content to client needs, and ensuring timely, compliant delivery that aligns with the firm’s brand and goals.

  • Proposal Strategy: Advise on positioning and messaging to maximize win probability and differentiate the firm.
  • Content & Delivery: Lead drafting, editing, and finalization of executive summaries, bios, and practice content, then shepherd the package through review and submission.
  • Process Analytics: Track metrics and ROI to inform future proposals and improve efficiency.

Job Description

Own end-to-end proposal leadership for complex RFPs, RFIs, and client-facing requests, guiding strategy and execution to align with the firm’s brand and goals.

  • Responsibilities: Manage the proposal process from scoping to delivery, coordinating inputs from attorneys, practice groups, and support teams.
  • Responsibilities: Draft and refine tailored content including executive summaries, firm overviews, bios, and differentiators.
  • Responsibilities: Ensure compliance with format, deadlines, and submission requirements across multiple opportunities.
  • Responsibilities: Advise attorneys on strategy and positioning to maximize win probability and brand alignment.
  • Responsibilities: Track proposal metrics and ROI to inform future engagement and process improvements.
  • Responsibilities: Use research tools (LexMachina, IBISWorld) to enrich proposal content and insights.
  • Responsibilities: Produce drafts quickly with a strong sense of ownership; manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Responsibilities: Coordinate input from multiple stakeholders to ensure timely, cohesive responses.
  • Responsibilities: Maintain quality and consistency across sections, editors, and final packages.
  • Responsibilities: Validate alignment with RFP requirements and internal standards throughout the process.
  • Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in English, Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field.
  • Requirements: 6+ years in proposal writing/management, preferably in a law firm or professional services.
  • Requirements: Experience responding to complex RFPs for legal services or similar professional services.
  • Requirements: Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills; strong MS Office and Adobe Acrobat proficiency.
  • Requirements: Strong project management and organizational abilities; able to handle multiple priorities under pressure.
  • Requirements: Experience with CRM tools and procurement-driven processes is helpful.
  • Requirements: Knowledge of legal industry trends and client expectations.
  • Requirements: Ability to work with cross-functional teams and maintain deadline discipline.
  • Requirements: Familiarity with online purchasing systems or related processes is a plus.
  • Requirements: Ability to leverage research tools to inform content and strategy.
  • Preferred: Advanced degree or legal industry certifications (e.g., APMP, JD, MBA) a plus.
  • Preferred: Experience with CRM tools such as Foundation and OnePlace would be helpful.
