Own intake and end-to-end delivery of editorial and design projects, balancing fast turns with planned work and keeping stakeholders aligned.

  • Project intake & prioritization: clear briefs, triage, and cross-functional collaboration to surface high-value work.
  • Delivery governance: multi-stream timelines, QA, and on-time, in-scope outputs across client groups.
  • Visibility and risk: dashboards, capacity flags, and proactive coordination with account leads and strategy.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Lead | Own intake of all incoming requests (ensuring briefs are clear, complete, and aligned to priorities). Oversee the full project life cycle from initiation to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and budget.
  • Translate client/account needs into actionable workflows for editorial + design.
  • Establish clear processes (approval flows, briefing templates, etc.).
  • Drive weekly status / reporting to keep all stakeholders aligned.
  • Build and manage timelines across multiple concurrent workstreams.
  • Run resourcing across editors/designers to ensure balanced workload and avoid bottlenecks.
  • Implement a structured intake + triage system (what gets prioritized, what gets deprioritized).
  • Manage fast-turn / reactive content alongside planned work.
  • Ensure consistency across outputs despite multiple client groups (process + QA).
  • Ensure the maintenance of an archive of all project documentation for easy access by stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 4-8+ years of experience in project management (agency setting a plus).
  • Proven experience managing projects across various disciplines.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and multitasking abilities.
  • Comfortable managing resources and workflows in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable working across large matrixed teams and organizations
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Flexible, adaptable, and responsive to quick turnarounds.
  • Proficient knowledge of project management tools such as Excel, Smartsheet, Airtable, JIRA, and Confluence.
  • Experience using collaborative team communication and project management applications like BOX, Microsoft Teams, Monday.com, and Miro.
  • Experience with content management systems like Contentful and WordPress.
  • Based in NYC, or able to work east coast hours in a hybrid capacity at one of our offices.
