Job Description

Responsibilities

  • From one-off grand openings and activations to developing clients’ annual public programming seasons, this person will design customized programs, build partnerships and collaborate with account teams.
  • planning, organizing and executing all aspects of each event— set-up and logistics, booking entertainment, managing event staff and coordinating with other departments to ensure a successful event
  • This role is expected to provide excellent customer service to clients and external partners
  • You will maintain a schedule of yearly events, manage the budget for each, answer vendor questions promptly and always strive to reimagine, improve and elevate ROI
  • Reporting to the Director of Marketing, this role acts as an agency hub that coordinates activities across all departments to ensure events and programming are cohesive and compelling
  • Develop public programs in collaboration with clients, staff and partner organizations that align with a client’s goals, branding and messaging
  • Lead internal processes to generate and build consensus around programming
  • Assist in promotions of events by drafting marketing language, gathering images and coordinating creative for ads, print, signage, websites and other marketing and collateral materials

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, economic development or related field
  • Minimum of five (5) years experience in a marketing and/or events role
  • Experience in managing events from concept to event logistics
  • Outstanding written and oral communication
  • Collaborative and generous work style
  • Demonstrated ability to build new partnerships
  • Highly skilled in project management with a strong attention to detail
  • Creative and entrepreneurial mindset and ability to learn and grow

Preferred

  • Experience with non-profits or City agencies a plus
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud or other graphic design software a big plus
