Job Summary

Own donor communications and partnership storytelling to secure funding for OB’s humanitarian programs and sustain key GIK relationships.

  • Translate program impact into proposals, reports, and content for foundations, corporations, and individual supporters.
  • Lead donor communications for Global Disaster Response, U.S. Hunger Relief, and GIK initiatives to strengthen relationships and retention.
  • Collaborate across teams to align ministry influence with funding strategy and grant reporting.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • manage the development and execution of strategic communications that cultivate and sustain partnerships with corporations, foundations, gift-in-kind (GIK) partners, and individual supporters.
  • serve as a key donor communications lead for Operation Blessing’s Global Disaster Response, U.S. Hunger Relief, and Procurement/Gift-in-Kind initiatives.
  • translate program impact into compelling proposals, reports, presentations, and content that secures funding, strengthens partner relationships, and supports the acquisition, stewardship, and retention of critical funding and donated resources.
  • facilitates ministry activities and contributes to OB’s Biblical mission to extend a helping hand in Christ’s name to meet physical and spiritual needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, English, Marketing, Nonprofit Management, or related field or 2-4 years’ equivalent experience
  • Proven knowledge, understanding and experience in project management and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to follow through from start to finish with long-term goals and projects
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to assess needs, identify opportunities, and recommend effective communication solutions
  • Tenacity and creativity in finding the right information, resources, and contacts
  • Strong computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with Adobe Creative Suite, CRM platforms preferred
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills with the ability to craft clear, persuasive communications for diverse audiences
  • Experience developing proposals, reports, stewardship communications, and donor-facing materials for foundations, corporations, institutional funders, or gift-in-kind partners preferred
  • Ability to take initiative, work independently and be an effective member of a team
  • Ability to thrive under pressure while meeting department goals and deadlines
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize and meet on-going reporting deadlines efficiently
  • Demonstrate life application of Biblical principles and practices in alignment with Operation Blessing’s nonprofit Christian mission

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite
  • CRM platforms preferred
  • Experience developing donor-facing materials for foundations, corporations, institutional funders, or gift-in-kind partners (preferred)
