Own the professional liability practice with a focus on growing the business, leading complex defense work, and building insurer and broker relationships that feed cross-sell opportunities.
- Practice Leadership: oversee the PL defense team and drive strategy across matters
- Business Development: expand client base through insurers, insureds, and brokers to fuel growth
- Firm Collaboration: partner with leadership and adjacent practice groups on strategic growth initiatives
Job Description
Responsibilities
- Lead, expand and oversee the Professional Liability practice
- Handle complex defense matters through all phases of litigation
- Develop and maintain relationships with insurers, insured professionals, brokers, and clients
- Mentor and supervise associates and business professionals
- Drive business development, marketing, and cross-selling initiatives
- Collaborate with firm leadership and related practice groups on strategic growth opportunities
Requirements
- Admission to the California State Bar required
- 10+ years of professional liability defense experience
- Strong litigation, leadership, client management, and business development skills
- Experience representing insurers and/or insured professionals preferred
Preferred
- Portable business will be considered but is not required.
