Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Own the go-to-market strategy for Mapbox's AI-powered products and capabilities, from positioning and messaging through launch and customer adoption.
  • Develop differentiated product positioning, value propositions, and messaging that clearly communicates customer value across technical and business audiences.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Design, and Support to successfully launch new AI products, features, and capabilities.
  • Represent the voice of the customer by conducting customer research, synthesizing market insights, and using those learnings to influence product strategy, messaging, and roadmap decisions.
  • Define and measure the success of product launches and go-to-market initiatives by establishing key performance metrics, analyzing adoption and engagement, and continuously optimizing based on data.
  • Monitor the competitive AI landscape and translate market insights into differentiated positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategies that strengthen Mapbox's market position.
  • Create sales enablement resources, including presentations, battlecards, competitive intelligence, product guides, and messaging frameworks that equip customer-facing teams to effectively communicate customer value.
  • Develop compelling customer-facing content, including blogs, webinars, solution guides, product documentation, thought leadership, and training materials that educate customers and drive product adoption.
  • Partner with Marketing to develop campaigns that increase awareness, engagement, and adoption of AI-powered capabilities, continuously testing and refining messaging to improve performance.
  • Build deep expertise in AI, location intelligence, and emerging market trends to serve as a trusted advisor across Product, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of Product Marketing experience. You have a proven track record of developing go-to-market strategies, launching technical products, and driving customer adoption. Experience marketing AI, machine learning, developer platforms, SaaS, or enterprise software is highly preferred.
  • Customer obsession. You care deeply about understanding customer problems and use customer insights to influence product positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategy.
  • Strategic storytelling. You excel at translating complex technical concepts into compelling customer value propositions and differentiated messaging that resonates with both technical and business audiences.
  • Analytical mindset. You use customer research, product analytics, and business metrics to evaluate product launches, optimize go-to-market strategies, and drive continuous improvement.
  • AI and technical curiosity. You enjoy learning emerging AI technologies and can confidently communicate complex technical concepts to developers while making them accessible to business stakeholders.
  • Go-to-market leadership. You have experience owning product launches from strategy through execution, partnering cross-functionally to deliver successful customer outcomes.
  • Ownership and independent delivery of outcomes. You thrive in ambiguous environments, develop strategic plans with minimal direction, and independently drive initiatives from concept through execution.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. You communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely through presentations, customer-facing content, sales enablement materials, and executive messaging. You build alignment by providing thoughtful context and rationale to stakeholders.
  • High standards for quality. You consistently produce high-quality messaging, positioning, enablement, and customer-facing content while balancing quality with speed in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborative influence. You build trusted relationships across Product, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Design, and Support, influencing without direct authority to deliver exceptional customer experiences.

  • Experience marketing AI, machine learning, developer platforms, SaaS, or enterprise software is highly preferred.
