Job Description

COMPANYOVERVIEW:

PGI is a privately held company, established in 1996. We are a leading supplier of private label solutions in the automotive industry. Our focus is on designing, manufacturing and distributing products for automotive, diesel, power-sports and specialty filter markets. Our supply chain network now branches across the Pacific and into South America.

  • Conduct line reviews on assigned product lines and brands on a timely regular basis and prepare summary presentations for senior leadership
  • Identify and take the lead with engineering and supply base in the new product introduction process.
  • Communicate and work closely with the field sales leadership, to identify new product opportunities and offerings.
  • Conduct on-going analysis of competition's pricing actions, sales volume, trends, consumer promotion, advertising activity and tracking studies.
  • Identify opportunities related to changes in the industry, including engineering advances.
  • Establish and maintain close working relationships with critical internal departments such as supply base, supply chain, manufacturing, R&D and trade marketing.
  • Work to ensure all jobber pricing data is accurate and up to date. Work with the pricing team to set jobber pricing on all new items
  • Work with catalog research and production efforts to ensure application and cross-reference coverage are meeting the needs of targeted customer channels.
  • Work closely with NPI Program Management for timely release of newly identified required products.
  • Performs other duties, as assigned.

Education:

Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent in education and experience, MBA preferred

Experience:

Three to six years experience in automotive aftermarket product management with a parts manufacturer or distributor preferred

Communication:

Strong written and verbal communication skills in dealing with internal and external contacts, including customers

Administration:

Proficiency in MS Office software

Interpersonal Relations:

Success in building relationships within organizations, including senior level

Leadership:

Strong leadership with cross-functional groups

Analytical and Conceptual:

Strong analytical and organizational skills

Decision making and problem solving skills

Special Skills:

Knowledge of SAP and JDE

Occasional travel required 10-20%

Dependability - Must be able to maintain satisfactory record of attendance and conduct. Must be able to work any shift and overtime as required.
