Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Support commercial negotiations from ENGIE’s Power Marketing team for power purchase agreements (PPA) for Utility-Scale Renewable Development in the US
  • Prepare marketing materials for potential off-take customers for wind, solar and battery storage projects
  • Support internal reporting requirements by identifying and analyzing KPIs and maintaining records of market transactions used for benchmarking
  • Support identifying and analyzing business opportunities and RFPs, actively participating in go/no-go decisions, and leading/coordinating response strategy to RFPs
  • Assist with the RFP proposal process in response to a high volume of simultaneous RFPs, working cross-functionally with development and financial teams
  • Evaluate offtake opportunities to identify project risks and quantify risks with analytical support groups
  • Maintain a database of market comparable pricing and prepare decks comparing ENGIE offerings with market transactions, summarizing key indicators for senior management
  • Manage and continually update ENGIE CRM for opportunities; generate reports for reviews and strategy sessions; oversee and communicate the organization pipeline to internal decision-makers
  • Support the Commercial Strategy team on evaluating project acquisition targets and market strategy development
  • Remain abreast of renewable energy opportunities in North America and national industry trends impacting competitiveness

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, mathematics, science, engineering or similar technical or analytics-based program
  • At least two years of energy market industry experience as an analyst or associate at a developer, utility, bank, investor or similar market participant
  • Outstanding analytical skills and demonstrated expertise in utilizing detailed, Excel-based financial models
  • Commercial acumen in addition to deep analytic and/or technical capabilities
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, CRM (Salesforce) and PowerPoint
  • Ability to operate with high energy and flexibility in a fast-paced, dynamic working environment
  • Superb technical writing capabilities, attention to detail, and organizational skills
  • Consistent and reliable attendance with the ability to manage time efficiently and a self-starter
  • Team player with willingness to help others and collaborate across departments with external customers

Preferred

  • Experience with renewable energy opportunities and/or energy market analysis in North America (implied by responsibilities)
