Responsibilities

• Engage residents through door-to-door canvassing.
• Build rapport, ask questions, and listen to understand people's views and concerns.
• Clearly communicate the core ideas behind our advocacy campaign.
• Encourage individuals to take action (e.g., signing petitions, making a plan to vote, or contacting legislators).
• Report on interactions and insights to help improve messaging and strategy.
• Uphold a respectful, non-coercive approach in all interactions — grounded in dignity and voluntary engagement.

Requirements

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; you enjoy talking to people.
• Passion for social change and a belief in bottom-up empowerment.
• Open-mindedness and a willingness to engage respectfully across differences.
• Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently.
• Previous experience in canvassing, political campaigns, or outreach is a plus but not required.
