Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Generate leads, conduct engaging tours and sell memberships and training packages
  • Provide a positive customer experience to promote retention and referrals
  • Support the development and growth of personal and group training programs not only through sales, but by training members and clients as required
  • Support club operational functions and marketing initiatives as assigned
  • Interact with existing and prospective customers online, on the phone and in-person to generate leads and drive revenue growth
  • Sell memberships and personal training packages by articulating the value of our offerings and being adept at removing obstacles to making a sale
  • Ensure customer satisfaction at every opportunity to drive growth by making existing customers raving fans and eager to generate leads for us
  • Support social media content development
  • Attend local events to spread awareness of our club and its fitness offerings
  • Provide one-on-one personal training using safe, effective programming

Requirements

  • Current NCCA-accredited personal training and CPR certifications (club will provide if necessary for the right candidate)
  • 2+ years of experience in sales and customer service
  • 1+ years of experience in personal training and group class instruction (or extensive fitness experience and demonstrated ability to conduct high-value sessions during an interview)
  • Strong understanding of exercise science, anatomy, and proper training technique
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
  • Possess a can-do attitude, recognizing that working for a small business means wearing many hats, taking initiative, and being flexible to make things happen
  • Ability to recognize areas of improvement and propose or make changes where applicable using sound judgement
  • Be professional, punctual, reliable and organized and have ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Demonstrate trustworthiness and ability to handle confidential information
  • Ability to work a 5-day, 40-hour workweek. Schedules will fall during staffed hours, which are: Mon-Thur (8:30am-7pm), Fri (8:30am-6pm) and up to 1-2 Saturday mornings/month (8:30am-noon) if needed.
