Job Summary

Own the front line for a heavy construction parts operation with a mix of service, sales, and customer-facing duties, driving order accuracy, inventory health, and backorder analysis.

  • Parts operations ownership: supervise the department, manage orders, and ensure accurate parts handling.
  • Customer service and counter leadership: support sales and marketing activities while training staff as needed.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage the Heavy Construction Parts department.
  • Manage all aspects of customer and service staff order processing and parts handling.
  • Customer service, sales, and marketing responsibility.
  • Occasional forklift or pickup truck operation.
  • Inventory control and other administrative duties.
  • Ability to perform parts counter functions as needed.
  • Ability to perform backorder analysis as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Associates degree or minimum of 5 years previous parts operations experience required.
  • Must be a self-starter with good time management, planning, and organizational skills with a commitment to detail.
  • Ability to train hydraulic hose assemblies as needed.
  • Previous forklift and pallet jack experience needed.
  • Excellent communication skills (written, e-mail, and verbal) are necessary.
  • Customer service experience needed.
  • Ability to lift 75 lbs, climb ladders and stairs as required.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Valid driver’s license is needed with clean driving record. This includes no more than 2 minor violations within the past 3 years and no major violations within the past 5 years (Motor Vehicle Report will be performed on final candidate).

Preferred

  • Product knowledge and familiarity with on-highway trucks, diesel engines, electric power generation, and Caterpillar Construction Equipment preferred.
  • Computer literate, PC experience with Office Outlook and knowledge of DBSI and SiS Web preferred.
