Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Develop social media strategies and content plans aligned with Authorne’s brand positioning, campaigns, launches, events, press, and broader business priorities.
  • Build and maintain a forward-looking content calendar, with clear recommendations for themes, formats, sequencing, and timing
  • Manage the day-to-day operation of Authorne’s social media accounts, primarily Instagram.
  • Draft and edit polished, brand-aligned copy for feed posts, Stories, Reels, and other social formats.
  • Edit short-form video and prepare imagery for social media, including cropping, resizing, basic retouching, color adjustments, and simple layouts. Curate imagery and maintain consistency in visual pacing, grid rhythm, tone, and overall presentation.
  • Support occasional small-scale photo and video capture for social content.
  • Coordinate content shoots with photographers, videographers, talent, stylists, public relations partners, and other creative collaborators as needed.
  • Monitor comments, direct messages, tags, and mentions in a timely and brand-appropriate manner.
  • Prepare regular reports that connect performance data to clear insights, opportunities, and recommendations. Track performance across accounts and content formats, identifying meaningful patterns in audience behavior and content response.
  • Propose new content concepts, recurring series, collaborations, and audience-development opportunities that feel relevant to Authorne.

Requirements

  • Must be based in New York City and available for at least one in-person meeting each week, as well as shoots, events, and content production needs when required.
  • Demonstrated professional experience managing social media for high-end brands is required.
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to understand and maintain an established brand voice.
  • Experience with tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, video editing tools, social media scheduling tools, or similar platforms is a plus.
  • Experience planning content across feed posts, Stories, Reels, campaigns, launches, and events.
  • Experience in fine jewelry, fashion, beauty, art, design, hospitality, or another luxury-focused category is strongly preferred.
  • Strong analytical instincts and the ability to interpret social media performance beyond surface-level metrics. Experience preparing clear and actionable performance reports, with thoughtful recommendations informed by audience and content data.
  • Comfortable taking ownership of assigned responsibilities. Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to identify opportunities, contribute fresh ideas, and move projects forward thoughtfully.
  • Reliable, responsive, detail-oriented, and comfortable working within a growing brand environment.

Preferred

  • Experience with tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, video editing tools, social media scheduling tools, or similar platforms is a plus.
  • Experience in fine jewelry, fashion, beauty, art, design, hospitality, or another luxury-focused category is strongly preferred.
