Responsibilities

• The Queens Borough President's Office seeks a dynamic, motivated individual to join the Communications Department as a Digital Design and Content Manager, who will play a key role in shaping and disseminating the office's messaging to all 2.4 million Queens residents via social media content creation, website management and more.

Requirements

• High school graduation or equivalent and three years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to duties described above; or
• Education and/or experience which is equivalent to "1" above.

Preferred

• Significant prior experience managing social media and designing content for either a government official/entity or private sector organization.
• Significant prior experience in both shooting and editing video content for dissemination on social media.
• Possesses strong writing and communication skills, as well as a strong understanding of social media platforms such as X, Instagram, Facebook and YouTube.
• Proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Indesign and Illustrator.
• Maintains a solid work ethic and ability to work well in a fast-paced team setting.
• Ability to work night and weekend events as necessary.
