Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Work on the Bruin Breeze undergraduate student newsletter: Draft copy, gather and provide insight on the student perspective, design simple graphics, coordinate with campus partners via email
  • Help with the Yodeck university-wide digital signage: schedule, format and design graphics, coordinate with campus partners via email
  • Draft and schedule MyBelmont Campus Announcements
  • Assist with various administrative tasks, including tracking Belmont’s media alerts, updating Mailchimp audience and aiding the Communications Coordinator with office and content management.

Requirements

  • Strong short-form writing and organizational skills, with basic graphic design ability
  • Attention to detail and proofreading ability
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines
  • Comfortable communicating professionally by email
  • Ability to follow established brand and style guidelines
  • Maintains professionalism and confidentiality when handling university communications
  • Experience with Canva or Adobe Creative Suite, email platforms (Outlook, Mailchimp, or similar), AP style writing a plus
  • Enrolled as a student at Belmont University
  • Preferred but not required: studying Communications Studies, Corporate Communications, Public Relations, English, Design Communications, Social Media Management, Journalism, Marketing or Media & Entertainment Industries
