Job Description

Directs and delivers content and creative services for the Child Support Division, aligning editorial standards and multi-channel outreach.

  • Provides direction, guidance, and assistance to staff responsible for key functions of section responsibilities, business processes, and external outreach activities for employees who speak publicly about CSD operations and services.
  • Directs, plans, and organizes all section activities, including recruiting, hiring, and staffing; develops management objectives, performance standards, and staff goals; and supervises creative media designers and the information specialist through coaching, standards setting, and performance review.
  • Performs advanced, senior-level technical writing work coordinating the composition, organization, and editing of information for varied audience types.
  • Preserves and oversees the Division’s editorial standards ensuring accessibility, readability, design, and quality across print and digital materials.
  • Recommends messaging strategy and communication plans with stakeholders to meet governance-approved outcomes.
  • Use of clear and compelling communication in writing and oral formats (e.g., video scripts, brochures, social media, press releases).
  • Oversees creation and review of plain language publications, videos, flyers, infographics, SharePoint pages, and website updates.
  • Leads content intake, prioritization, project planning, and workflow design with defined approval checkpoints.
  • Oversees project execution and quality assurance, conducting post mortems to improve workflows and templates.
  • Maintains brand alignment and message discipline per agency standards.
