Job Summary

Own cross-channel audience growth and campaign execution for a museum, coordinating exhibitions, events, and education programs while keeping brand messaging cohesive across social, print, and digital channels.

  • Content and publication coordination for At the Meadows and other marketing materials, plus measurement reporting.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and execution of marketing campaigns for the museum, including exhibitions, events, and educational programs.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities for audience engagement and growth.
  • Coordinate the member magazines, At the Meadows, a twice a year publication. Responsibilities include scheduling, coordinating with authors, editor, designer, printers and mail house for distribution.
  • Coordinate the museum’s social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube) including content creation, scheduling, engagement, monitoring and analysis.
  • Develop printed and digital marketing material for a variety of museum departments, including, but not limited to, program flyers, member magazines, and mailings.
  • Help maintain and update the museum’s website with current information about exhibitions, events, and other news.
  • Assist in promoting museum events, including openings, special programs, and community outreach activities.
  • Track and analyze the performance of marketing campaigns and social media activities, providing reports and recommendations for improvement.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure consistent messaging and branding across all platforms.
  • Support the Director of Marketing and Communications with administrative tasks and other duties as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s is required. Master's is preferred. A degree in marketing or another relevant field is preferred.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience is required.
  • Experience marketing, social media management, or a related role, preferably within a cultural or non-profit organization is preferred.
  • Candidate must demonstrate strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate broadly across the University and develop and maintain effective relationships with a wide range of constituencies. Must also demonstrate strong written communication skills.
  • Candidate must possess strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and analyze problems, as well as devise solutions. Must also have strong organizational, planning and time management skills.
  • Some weekends and evenings may be necessary to accommodate museum openings and other events.

Preferred

  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Experience within a cultural or non-profit organization is preferred.
  • Proficiency with social media platforms and tools, familiarity with CMS Blackbaud Altru and Constant Contact.
