Responsibilities

• Create and curate engaging and informative content that highlights the mission and initiative of SUSD across multiple platforms: website, social media, video, photography
• Capture and produce video and photography content across district sites and events
• Collaborate with Communications team to execute strategic content plans
• Support district campaigns related to enrollment, recruitment, and community engagement
• Assist with management and growth of digital platforms (social media, website)
• Provide multimedia coverage of district events and programs
• Maintain organized digital media library
• Monitor social media trends and implement appropriate strategies to increase engagement and followership
• Stay current with industry trends and best practices in content creation, social media management, and digital marketing
• Assist in the planning and, promotion, and execution of events organized by the department

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or related field
• 2-4 years of relevant experience in multimedia production or digital marketing
• Proficiency in video editing and photography tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut Pro, or similar)
• Experience creating content for social media platforms
• Travel to school sites and district events required
• Occasional evening/weekend work

Nice to Have

• Experience in K-12 education or public sector communications
• Bilingual (English/Spanish)
• Knowledge of accessibility standards for digital content
