Create fact sheets, issue briefs, web content, email products, presentations, scripts, success stories, and outreach materials.
Translate scientific, programmatic, and evaluation information into audience-appropriate language.
Coordinate with CDC subject matter experts, leadership, recipients, and partner organizations.
Apply CDC plain-language, health-literacy, citation, clearance, and Section 508 requirements.
Track communication requests, urgent deliverables, review cycles, dissemination, and outcomes.

Requirements

Education: Bachelor's degree.
Experience: At least 5 years of experience developing strategic, scientific, health, or public-sector communications for varied audiences. Experience producing evidence-based materials, coordinating technical review and clearance, applying plain-language and health-literacy principles, developing digital and print products, and meeting Section 508 accessibility requirements is strongly preferred.
Demonstrated ability to produce accurate, timely, and high-quality work in a multidisciplinary, deadline-driven environment.
Strong written and verbal communication, collaboration, organization, judgment, and client-service skills.

Preferred

Prior experience supporting CDC, HHS, another federal health agency, a public health recipient network, or a comparable mission-focused organization.
