Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Development and distribution of press releases, newsletters, fact sheets, brochures, web and social media campaigns, and other marketing materials.
  • Coordinates communications for CCRC’s service area.
  • Collaborates closely with Communications team members, CCRC staff across departments and locations, and with external partners supporting agency priorities, projects and events.
  • Communications & Marketing (60%), Digital Communications & Brand Management (25%), Stakeholder Engagement & Event Support (15%).

Requirements

  • Education: Associates’ Degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Digital Media or a related field.
  • Experience: 2+ years professional experience preferred in communications, public relations or related field with a history of content generation.
  • Technical Requirements: Demonstrated computer skills to include knowledge of online research, website analytics and social media, advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills, and database management experience.
  • Travel: Up to 20% travel.
  • Work Schedule: Full-Time, Hybrid. M-F Standard Working hours. Ability to work a non-traditional work schedule including early mornings, late evenings and weekends.
  • Background & Health Clearance Requirements: Background requirements determined according to the requirements of the program(s) which the position will be supporting. Background check required. As a grant-funded Agency supporting Children and Family Services, CCRC conducts background checks commensurate with the role to verify candidate qualifications (criminal history, employment history / experience, education, reference checks) and ensure grant compliance. Specific roles may have additional verification / clearance to the standard background check as part of the recruitment and selection process, including Live Scan Clearance / DOJ Fingerprinting; Health Clearance; MVR / DMV; Child Development Permit; CPR / Pediatric CPR certification; Federal Debarment Checks; Credit & Bankruptcy Check.

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Digital Media or a related field.

Child Care Resource Center (CCRC) assists close to 50,000 parents, children, and child care providers each month in Northern Los Angeles County and the entirety of San Bernardino County serving a total area of 22,500 square miles.
