Job Summary

Own and operate gas measurement facilities in Greenville, MS, ensuring safety, reliability, and rapid response to abnormal conditions.

  • Calibrate, sample, test, and maintain meters, flow computers, regulators, and related equipment.
  • Must-have: 2–5 years of pipeline/meas operations and maintenance experience with strong safety culture.
  • Standout: Residency within 30 miles and ability to lift 50 lb for 50 ft; hands-on control valve/OPP or chromatograph familiarity.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Calibration, gas sampling, testing, operation and maintenance of measurement facilities located in Greenville, MS and surrounding areas, including positive meters, turbine meters, rotary meters, ultrasonic, and/orifice meters, flow computers, samplers, communication devices, regulators, relief valves, valves and valve actuators, transmitters, gas quality monitoring, and automated tank gauging equipment
  • Responsible for environmental, health and safety and reliability for natural gas transmission through the pipeline system, along with recognition and reporting of abnormal and safety related operating conditions, accident and near miss reporting, performing emergency response procedures, performing regulatory compliance procedures, and performing repair procedures
  • Respond to callouts for emergency or abnormal operating conditions

Requirements

  • 2 to 5 years of pipeline and measurement operations and maintenance experience or equivalent petrochemical / oil industry experience
  • Strong safety culture
  • Strong computer and data process skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Valve O&M experience
  • Organization and record keeping ability
  • Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. for a minimum of 50 feet, the ability to work in extreme weather conditions, and the ability to stand for long durations
  • Must live within 30 miles of facility
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent

Preferred

  • Knowledgeable of DOT 192 Regulations
  • 5 (plus) years of gas measurement or I&E operations and maintenance experience
  • Natural gas measurement experience
  • Chromatograph O&M proficiency
  • Control valve and OPP O&M experience
  • Associate degree or Certificate of Completion in Electrical or Electronics Technology from an Institution Accredited by one of the National Regional Accrediting Bodies
  • Valid driver’s license, a safe driving record
  • Technical Associate degree
