Role Overview
We are seeking a compassionate, organized, and self-motivated part-time Outreach Corodinator to join our Waterstone Team. Waterstone offers addiction medicine (MAT), counseling, and sleep disorder services along the shoreline of Connecticut. This role is ideal for a student or entry-level marketer interested in healthcare, addiction medicine, or community advocacy. You will help us expand our reach through digital content, local agency outreach, and by identifying key community events for our center to attend.
Key Responsibilities
- Event Research: Scout local community calendars, health fairs, recovery walks, and professional networking events pertinent to addiction medicine and counseling.
- Event Attendance: Represent our center at local events to network, hand out materials, and build relationships with community members and partners.
- Agency Outreach: Travel to local medical offices and counseling centers to drop off physical marketing materials (brochures and flyers).
- Digital Content (Remote): Assist in creating and scheduling social media posts that provide educational resources and promote our services.
- Constant Contact Database: Review and update all email contact entries in CC and develop monthly communications to agency network
- Meet with agency management team weekly
- Reporting
Qualifications
- Communication: Comfortable interacting with healthcare professionals and the public at community events.
- Tech-Savvy: Proficiency with basic social media platforms and design tools.
- Reliability: Must have a reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license for local travel and event attendance.
- Sensitivity: High level of empathy and understanding regarding addiction medicine and mental health.
- Flexibility: Occasional weekend or evening availability may be needed for specific community events (scheduled in advance).
