Responsibilities

• Assist in media outreach for campaigns, including seeking new opportunities, maintaining author media lists, tour schedules and media monitoring.
• Help build media lists and update databases with a particular focus on the business and self-improvement space.
• Conduct influencer research and assist in influencer outreach across social media.
• Help support b2b and bulk buy opportunities.
• Assist in generating promotional copy, including for press materials and social media.
• Help brainstorm and create marketing assets, and trafficking for approval.
• Support the implementation of marketing and publicity initiatives that achieve impact across a range of channels.
• Assist with a variety of other tasks, including scheduling meetings, creating presentations, mailings, and budget tracking.

Requirements

• Prior office/internship experience required; Publishing/marketing/publicity experience a plus
• Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills
• Strong time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects across teams, with a focus on details and deadlines
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Proficiency with social media platforms and management tools
• Interest in nonfiction and business is essential

Preferred

• Familiarity with design platforms such as Adobe Creative Suite is a plus
• Familiarity with online programs such as Canva, Muckrack, Mailchimp a plus
