Own and optimize marketing operations by partnering with Marketing, Finance, and Program Management to design frameworks, improve budgeting and planning, and drive executive-ready communications across regions and HQ.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with Marketing leaders and other key cross-functional stakeholders to design, build, and/or optimize critical marketing frameworks, processes, tools, and assets.
  • Support Marketing, Finance, and Program Management on designing and improving tools and processes that streamline budgeting, forecasting, resource planning, and project management.
  • Support annual planning for Marketing, as a key element of central planning and budgeting.
  • Distill complex or ambiguous information into clear, exec-ready presentations and memos.
  • Serve as a critical partner and problem-solver for Marketing teams, e.g., defining new processes, assessing regional performance, developing HQ leadership updates, project tracking.
  • Bandwith permitting, support the central Marketing Ops team on Exec team special projects, e.g., developing the strategic framework and operating system for new company priorities and marketing capabilities
  • The role will be expected to join key in-person moments, such as in-person planning sessions.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in global marketing operations, strategy & operations, and/or management consulting (or the equivalent). MBA a plus.
  • Analytical, structured thinker with strong business acumen.
  • Strong familiarity with marketing budgets, success metrics, and measurement frameworks.
  • Experience partnering with Finance (FP&A, Strategic Finance) and Analytics/Data Science.
  • Experience working with a global marketing organization across marketing and creative disciplines (Strategy, Brand, Product/Marcom, Growth, Media, Creative, Production, etc.).
  • Experience establishing systems and developing processes in a dynamically scaling environment.
  • Ability to take a vague problem, crisply frame the challenge, identify a path forward, and drive an initiative over the finish-line.
  • Passion for cross-functional collaboration, particularly given the functional structure and collaborative culture of Airbnb.
  • Strong spirit of ownership and responsibility, balanced with a low-ego willingness to partner closely with others to achieve alignment and buy-in.
  • Ability to own the work in a hands-on way and be in the details.
