About Munro Defense

Munro Defense extends our engineering and analysis capabilities to defense and government applications, supporting mission-critical systems with the same rigor, speed, and data-driven approach that defines our commercial work.

We are seeking two hands-on, self-directed Marketing & Communications Managers to lead brand development, demand generation, and external communications. These roles are responsible for both strategy and execution, working closely with Sales, Munro Live, and senior leadership.

This posting is for two parallel roles. While both positions share core responsibilities, one role will focus on supporting Munro & Associates (commercial clients across automotive, industrial, and manufacturing sectors), and the other will support Munro Defense, which serves defense and government-related initiatives. Candidates may be considered for either role based on experience and alignment.

The ideal candidate is a strong communicator and strategic thinker who can translate complex technical concepts into clear, compelling messaging that supports business growth and market visibility.

  • Plan and execute campaigns to increase brand awareness and generate qualified leads
  • Oversee website content, social media channels, newsletters, and overall digital presence
  • Coordinate thought leadership initiatives, speaking engagements, and media opportunities
  • Monitor and report on marketing performance (engagement, traffic, lead generation)
  • Manage relationships with external vendors, agencies, and freelancers
  • Develop templates and processes to improve efficiency and consistency
  • Own end-to-end event management, including planning, logistics, and execution
  • Plan and execute trade show participation and on-site brand experience
  • Tailor messaging and campaigns to the specific audience (commercial or defense), including tone, compliance, and positioning

Core Focus Areas

  • Strengthen brand clarity and consistency across all external communications
  • Translate technical expertise into clear, business-focused messaging
  • Drive measurable improvements in visibility, engagement, and lead generation

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in marketing, communications, or brand management (B2B, consulting, industrial, or manufacturing preferred)
  • Proven ability to manage initiatives independently from strategy through execution
  • Strong background in external communications, PR, and brand positioning
  • Ability to communicate complex technical information clearly and effectively
  • Experience with CMS platforms, email marketing, social media, CRM systems, and analytics
  • Experience collaborating with Sales on campaigns and enablement
  • Excellent writing, editing, and presentation skills
  • Strong organizational and project management capabilities

Preferred Qualifications
