Job Summary

Own KDHS marketing strategy and programs, aligning department needs with recruitment goals while optimizing budget, channels, and events to reach undergraduate and graduate audiences.

  • Marketing Strategy & Planning: steward annual plan, metrics, and budget with ongoing adjustments.
  • Audience & Campaign Execution: translate department needs into targeted campaigns across social, digital, and traditional media.
  • Measurement & Insights: analyze results, share research and campaign effectiveness with leadership.

Job Description

Responsibilities
  • Build awareness of and engagement with KDHS programs to enhance recruitment efforts.
  • Understand the nuances and challenges faced by each department or program within KDHS in order to provide direction for marketing and recruitment goals and priorities.
  • Continuously review, track metrics, update, and implement KDHS marketing strategic plans.
  • Develop and manage annual marketing budget, track expenditures, analyze variances, and initiate corrective actions.
  • Maintain and conduct current market research, including market analysis and exploring workforce needs and recruitment trends in both undergraduate and graduate programs to inform marketing strategy.
  • Utilize social, digital, and traditional media to grow reach and engagement with targeted audiences, including executing internally driven marketing campaigns and working with an agency of record.
  • Employ analytics and follow-up research to determine which ways provide the most return for a limited marketing budget.
  • Employ digital marketing and digital data mining for target marketing of KDHS programs.
  • Evaluate markets and media through research, focus groups, and other methods to continually identify new opportunities to get key university messages to key audiences.
  • Develop and present reports that share research, campaign performance, and tactic effectiveness.
  • Capture photographs and/or videos for print and electronic media ad campaigns.
