Job Summary

Own community-facing outreach to drive patient access and referrals for AltaPointe Health in Southern Alabama, coordinating education, partnerships, and cross-department collaboration to grow admissions and service reach.

  • Responsibilities: Build and sustain referring relationships with hospitals, clinics, and community partners; educate clinicians and staff on mental health and substance abuse; coordinate admissions, billing, and referrals with Access to Care and hospital leadership.
  • Workstreams: Manage territory planning and rapid-response marketing, pursue conference sponsorships, and align with PR/Clinical teams to keep materials current.
  • Impact: Track referrals, produce intake/admissions data, and develop seasonal plans to support growth and patient access.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Market services, to businesses, hospitals, health care, mental health professionals and community agencies in Southern Alabama from Montgomery to Mobile region.
  • Liaising and networking with a range of stakeholders including customers, colleagues, suppliers and partner organizations.
  • Arranges training seminars, utilizing internal and external resources, to educate doctors, nurses, counselors, social workers, EAPs, and other interested parties on mental health and substance abuse issues.
  • Conducts in-service training and / or briefings for professional and semi-professional groups with the ability to refer patients to AHS Hospital(s).
  • Pursues relevant conference sponsorships and manages conference representation.
  • Works directly with the Access to Care Department and clients to ensure all admission and billing requirements are met.
  • Communicating with target audiences and managing customer
  • Proactively seeks out and responds to requests and inquiries from a variety of community resources for new business.
  • Maintains constant awareness of territory assignments and marketing rep daily assignments (locations) to ensure rapid response to any special needs, particularly related to service recovery.
  • Demonstrates an on-going awareness and understanding of the facility’s contracts with all payor sources (commercial, managed care, managed Medicaid, federal, state, local, ).

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in a health care related field, ADN or RN nursing degree, psychology degree, communications degree and/or mental health related field.
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in medical/mental health care field and/or marketing/sales experience with knowledge of business development techniques ; vision, commitment, leadership, creativity and the ability to make difficult decisions in a dynamic environment; excellent written and oral communication skills as well as the ability to prepare and present presentations in a clear, concise and effective manner; development skills; excellent multitasking and organizational skills as well as ability to establish priorities, plan, develop, implement, and distribute marketing materials . Broad knowledge of the mental health field with working knowledge of related programs, resources, and providers.
