Job Description

  • The Marketing & Design Manager leads the marketing, advertising, and creative production efforts for Opening Nights at Florida State University. This position is responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategies that drive ticket sales, increase audience engagement, and strengthen the Opening Nights brand. This role combines strategic marketing leadership with hands-on creative execution, including the design of marketing materials, digital advertising campaigns, and promotional content.
  • Develop and execute marketing plans for Opening Nights, focusing on strategies that increase ticket sales and audience growth.
  • Plan and manage multi-channel campaigns—digital ads, social media, email, media partnerships, and traditional advertising.
  • Analyze campaign and audience data to optimize strategies and maximize revenue.
  • Implement initiatives to expand and diversify audiences; coordinate with artists, press, and partners on promotions.
  • Design and produce marketing materials, ensuring brand consistency across all platforms.
  • Supervise part-time marketing staff and oversee their tasks.
  • Coordinate with vendors and manage production schedules and quality control for marketing assets.
  • Assist with budgeting, review expenditures, and oversee vendor payments.
  • Capture event photography and manage a library of visual content for marketing purposes.
  • Bachelor's degree and four years experience related to media, communications, and/or marketing services or a combination of post high school education and experience equal to eight years.
