Own the end-to-end marketing and trade-event execution for Korea tourism in the US, driving market research, program planning, vendor coordination, and promotional activities in support of Korea Tourism Organization.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • The Marketing Coordinator is expected to provide high quality of marketing
  • Duties shall include, but not be limited to, the market research and collection of tourism related information, providing support to the Korean staffs in their work on advertising, promotion, various event activities, etc. The Marketing Coordinator is also responsible for the general administrative work duties as assigned
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute tourism and MICE sales and marketing programs, including trade events, sales missions, training activities, marketing communications, and partnership development
  • Coordinate the efficient execution and management of Trade Event and Sales programs making contracted vendor and travel arrangements and coordinating sales calls and schedules
  • Perform other Korea tourism marketing, promotional, and administrative duties as assigned by the Director

Requirements

  • Candidates must have legal working status in the U.S
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in marketing, tourism or related field from an accredited college or university. Sales and marketing professional with a proactive approach and tourism/hospitality/MICE sales experience is a plus
  • Candidates must possess excellent interpersonal skills, writing and administrative skills and be computer literate and good at word processing (e.g. Word), spread sheet (e.g. Excel), ability to develop compelling PowerPoint presentations
  • Knowledge of the tourism, MICE distribution system, and network in the US
  • Excellent time management ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
