Job Summary

Own end-to-end field content capture and archive workflow across NYC locations, from weekly site walks to post production and social-ready clips.

  • Content Capture Ops: schedule, equip, and coordinate weekly shoots across multiple sites and teams.
  • Footage Mgmt: download, organize, and curate 15–60 second clips for social and marketing.
  • Site Storytelling: align with Directors for approvals and plan future content from weekly reviews.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Send a weekly email to managers identifying upcoming opportunities for content capture (farm work, installations, events, deliveries, etc.)
  • Schedule and coordinate use of content capture equipment across teams
  • Document how our sites evolve over the season by following a standard walking route each week at a consistent time of day across all locations (Sunset Park, Navy Yard, Javits)
  • Set up and record a weekly conversation between Brooklyn Grange’s Directors, documenting decisions, projects, and progress
  • Capturing content and documentation on our sites
  • Setting up camera and microphones
  • Managing recording
  • Uploading footage
  • Download footage captured throughout the week from GoPros, Meta glasses, field cameras, gimbal devices, and additional clips captured by teams
  • Upload and organize footage within the shared content library
  • Review footage weekly and identify 5–10 short clips (15–60 seconds) for use across social media and marketing channels
  • Apply an understanding of current social media trends to inform clip selection and storytelling
  • Ensure all content is reviewed and approved by the relevant director prior to posting (farming, design/build, events, etc.)
  • Meet weekly with the Director of Strategic Sales and POM to review footage and plan upcoming content
  • Assist with maintaining the Brooklyn Grange Squarespace website, including updating images and pages as needed
  • Support the Director of Strategic Sales in identifying and preparing stories or materials for media outreach and press opportunities

Requirements

  • Familiarity with social media trends and platforms
  • Content design skills are a plus
  • Comfort appearing on camera and/or speaking as needed for content
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Comfortable handling camera equipment and managing footage downloads
  • Ability to organize digital files and maintain media libraries
  • Basic video editing skills preferred
  • Website management experience preferred
  • Comfortable traveling throughout New York City
