Job Summary

Own and drive the firm's marketing content strategy and materials across practice groups, shaping messaging, proposals, thought leadership, biographies, advertising content, and cross‑functional collaboration to win business.

  • Content strategy and messaging: partner with BD and practice leaders to align website, materials, and thought leadership with client needs.
  • Proposals and pitches: lead opportunity tracking, kickoff, message strategy, and tailored RFP responses and pitch books.
  • Advertising, bios, and PR collaboration: develop advertising plans, keep biographies current, and coordinate releases and media summaries with BD and PR.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Lead the firm’s marketing content strategy in collaboration with the Chief Business Development Officer
  • Advise attorneys and the BD team on messaging and content best practices
  • Utilize AI tools to enhance content quality in line with policy
  • Direct development and maintenance of practice group marketing materials, representative experience, and related materials
  • Collaborate with Practice Group Leaders and lead partners to ensure website content is current and compelling
  • Collect, organize and standardize representative matter descriptions for use on proposals and other marketing materials
  • Lead the firm’s proposal and pitch process, including opportunity tracking, kickoff meetings, message strategy, and project management
  • Develop original, customized content for RFP responses, pitch books, and presentations
  • Ensure materials are strategically focused, visually compelling, error‑free, and compliant with client requirements
  • Introduce creative enhancements to elevate proposal and pitch materials

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in communications or marketing (preferred)
  • Five or more years of writing/communications experience
  • Experience working in a law firm, professional service provider or as a professional writer (preferred)
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to indicate ability to perform the duties of the position
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills
  • Ability to lead content initiatives and manage complex projects independently
  • Strong strategic judgement, attention to detail, and organizational skills
  • Experience in professional services, legal marketing, or a similarly complex, relationship‑driven environment (preferred)
  • A proactive mindset, intellectual curiosity, and genuine passion for communicating value through meaningful content

Preferred

  • Experience with AI-assisted content creation
  • Track record of persuasive, client-focused content
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams
