Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Implements an annual marketing communications plan.
  • Manages projects to increase brand awareness across all communication channels.
  • Develops visual identities, branding and collateral for programs and signature events.
  • Builds relationships with external partners through content sharing and supporting other organizations’ campaigns.
  • Maintains knowledge of current trends and best practices in marketing communications, digital media and branding.
  • Implements and tracks success of communication tactics and the website through monthly analytics and reports.
  • Maintains the website and ensures content is accurate, consistent with brand standards and is updated regularly with ADA compliance.
  • Implements new content including monthly blog posts, event posts, and new pages for projects.
  • Builds and maintains monthly social media calendar.
  • Creates digital assets, content and schedules posts on social media channels.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing Communications, Journalism or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a Marketing Communications role.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent writing and proofreading skills, knowledge of AP style preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, good judgment and ability to communicate professionally with diverse audiences.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
  • Knowledge of WordPress and SEO.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms (i.e. Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram and YouTube) and current social media trends.
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics.
  • Familiarity with Meta ads.
  • Knowledge of email marketing best practices and experience with Mailchimp.
  • MS Office Suite proficient.
  • Experience with graphic design software, including Canva
  • Position responsibilities could change based upon organizational needs.
  • Available to staff occasional early morning/evening meetings, weekend events, etc.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle for business use (mileage is reimbursed).
